To the official end of my first trimester! Woohoo! As of Monday I will start my 14th week. I can't believe it. It's been almost 10 weeks since I found out I was pregnant! I thought it would go by soooo slowly since I found out so early, but really it has flown by. I hope the remaining 6 months go by equally as quickly!
Here is the moment you've all been waiting for (I know, I know...everyone has just been on the edge of their seat waiting for me to post a picture...right). I actually did remember yesterday, but I wasn't wearing clothes very conducive to taking a picture of my ever growing stomach! So here is todays blurry picture. 12 weeks, 4 days and the baby is the size of a small plum!
It's at least starting to look like a bump, and not so much like I over ate the last 5 meals! I did have someone ask me the other night if I was pregnant. And of course I answered her super nicely and told her I was but the whole time I was thinking "girl, you should not be asking someone who really just looks fat if they are pregnant!" But it was kind of nice for someone to notice!
I found out yesterday that the junior college here does free ultrasounds, which I am super stoked about! It takes an hour, but you get to sit and watch your baby for an hour! Basically, you are a volunteer for the students to practice on. A girl I know actually first found out the gender of her baby there about 3 weeks earlier than her doctor would do the scan to tell her. I'll definitely be calling and volunteering! It's so hard going SO long without seeing the baby. I worry constantly that something has gone wrong and I have no idea.
In other news, Clayton bought my blowup pool! I was like a kid at Christmas. We went into town to get it and as soon as we got home I made him blow it up for me. Well, it started to storm that night and I was so afraid that my poor pool was going to be destroyed so I made him put it in the shop. The next morning I woke up and immediately put on my swimsuit and lathered on a ton of sunscreen, got my towel and my book and headed out to fill it up! Well, it is really big and awkward and I couldn't get it out of the shop. I was SO disappointed. So I got a chair and sat on the back porch and decided I'd get some sun anyway. While I was sitting there, Clayton pulled up and came to the rescue to get my pool all setup for me! Have I ever mentioned that I have the best husband ever?! (I know, so do you. But really.) I laid in there for about an hour and read my book and soaked up some sun! I'm determined to get some color on this preggo body before Mexico in August! My mom laughed so hard at me when I made her go with me to pick out this awesome pool and informed me that I truly was white trash...and now that she has seen it all setup she is jealous and wants one for herself! Here's a picture so you can all be jealous too.
I guess that's about it for now! Gosh, for someone who "isn't very good at updating these things" I sure have gotten long winded!
Kason and I bought a blow up pool the other weekend but it doesn't have the fancy chair corners. We are concerned there might be a hole in ours so when Kason saw yours he told me I could go buy that one just in case :) It is the best thing we have bought all summer!
